Worldwide Brands may be the largest directory, but there's an alternative (Salehoo) that is much cheaper and comes with some appealing tools – so which is the best for new online businesses and eBay sellers?
Worldwide Brands is a directory of drop shippers, wholesalers, liquidators and manufacturers – all of them researched and certified. From these sellers about 16 million products are available to buy at wholesale prices.
Worldwide Brands specialise in suppliers that are set up and willing to trade with small online businesses, like eBay sellers and new e-commerce stores. The price of membership to Worldwide Brands is $299.
Salehoo is also a directory of about 8,000 certified suppliers. It costs $67 per year and from the drop shippers and wholesalers listed in Salehoo there are about 1.6 million products available to buy at trade prices.
Salehoo comes with some good extras as well – including tutorials, a keyword research tool, access to forums and customer support.
While it starts off cheaper than Worldwide Brands, bear in mind that Worldwide Brands has a one off membership fee and Salehoo has an annual fee.
While Salehoo starts out cheaper, in the long term Worldwide Brands still works out to be better value for money – not only because it has so many more products, but because there are no hidden or annual fees.
